Hi, I'm

T. Tamil Arsen

Software Engineer

Software Engineer focused on full-stack web development, with a particular interest in backend engineering, API design, and building reliable software systems.

[About]

Understanding software as a system.

How I work, what I value, and how I approach technical decisions.

I’m a Computer Science graduate focused on software engineering, with a particular interest in backend systems and understanding how software works as a system, not just making features work.

I primarily work with TypeScript and Node.js, using PostgreSQL for data and Docker for reproducible environments. In my projects, I pay attention to API design, application structure, database design, error handling, testing, and clear boundaries between components.

As I begin my career, I’m focused on building strong engineering foundations: understanding fundamentals, making deliberate technical decisions, and learning how software is designed, built, tested, deployed, and maintained.

Operating principles
  • 01Build software that is understandable, maintainable, and functional
  • 02Treat documentation and code structure as part of the engineering process
  • 03Understand fundamentals before relying on abstractions and tools
[Technical Stack]

A system is built in layers.

A technical foundation organized by responsibility, from programming and runtime to data, interfaces, and infrastructure.

01

Programming Languages

Languages I use across web development, general programming, and systems-oriented learning.

02

Application Runtime

Runtime and framework I use to build backend services and HTTP APIs.

03

Data Systems

Database and data infrastructure used for persistent storage and application performance.

04

Interface Layer

Technologies I use to build web interfaces and cross-platform applications.

05

Delivery & Infrastructure

Tools for version control, reproducible environments, and application delivery.

Engineering principles

Prefer simple primitives, explicit boundaries, predictable data flow, and reproducible environments.

[Experience]

Where I've contributed.

Roles, responsibilities, and the technical work behind each role.

[CONTACT]

Open a connection.

For software engineering opportunities, technical discussions, and collaboration on web projects.

connection.endpoint/contact
available
Primary endpoint

Software engineering, full-stack development, and backend systems.

I’m open to software engineering opportunities, particularly in full-stack web development and backend engineering. I’m also open to technical discussions and software projects where I can contribute while continuing to grow as an engineer. Email is the best way to reach me.

Connection state

Good engineering starts with understanding the problem. I value clear communication, deliberate trade-offs, and systems that are built to be understood.
